English Elocution 2024
The Inter House English Elocution was held on the 15th April, 2024 for students of Classes 6 – 9.
The topics for this year were as follows:
- Class 6 – Humorous poems
- Class 7 – Prose extract from any Indian author
- Class 8 – A descriptive passage from Greek, Indian, Roman or Norse Mythology
- Class 9 – Shakespeare’s famous speeches
The judges for the event were Mr. Bhaswar Mukherjee and Mrs. Saraswati Venkatramani.
The best speakers from each class were as follows:
- Class 6 – Aran Nair (Godavari House)
- Class 7 – Arianna Clovis Mascarenhas (Narmada House)
- Class 8 – Anaisha Bhatla (Narmada House)
- Class 9 – Khushi Chhabria (Cauvery House)
The overall winner of the event was Narmada followed by a tie for the second place between Cauvery and Godavari. It was evident that each speaker had poured their all into delivering a spectacular show for everyone and the judges were truly enthralled by their performances. This outcome was the result of the diligent efforts of both the students and the supervising teachers, as well as the house teachers.
