Hit Over the Net – 2025

The “Hit Over the Net” contest was held on Friday, 19th September 2025, at the Sishya School grounds. The event began with a friendly rally between the Principal, Mrs. Omana Thomas and Junior School Co-ordinator, Mrs. Teresa Sitaraman and another one between Ms. Sandhya Thomas, Senior School Coordinator and Head of Sishya Sansaar and Ms. Anu Laxman, Grade 1 teacher, setting a lively tone for the morning. A total of 67 students from EY2, UKG, Classes I and II participated, displaying great enthusiasm, focus, and budding tennis skills.

The event concluded with a cheerful prize distribution led by Mrs. Omana Thomas, Mrs. Teresa Sitaraman and Ms. Sandhya Thomas. It was a joyful morning filled with energy, sportsmanship, and encouragement for the school’s youngest tennis talents.

 

The Sishya Inter House Tennis meet was held at the SDAT Tennis Stadium, Nungambakkam on 28th September 2024. About 189 students from classes 3 to 12 participated in the event. Singles and doubles matches were conducted.

In the Singles matches the following children emerged as Winners and Runners Up respectively.

In the doubles exhibition match, Mr Ramu Rau and Mr Bhargav Sri Prakash participated on behalf of the Alumni, showcasing memories of their glorious days at Sishya. They played against Avantika Gutgutia and Aadith Rau. Sishya Alumni Team prevailed in a tough match between the past and present of Sishya.

Cauvery House took the honours for the best Girls House and best Boys House. Cauvery House bagged the overall championship.
