Rangoli Competition 2017

The Inter House Rangoli Competition was held on the 21st of January 2017. The theme for this year’s competition was the ‘Dreams’. The judge for the event was Mrs. Kavitha Prasad.

Cauvery’s rangoli, ‘Imagine all the people living in peace’ contained the flags of India and Pakistan and a lady clad in a burkha with a hand emerging out in the middle. Godavari depicted, ‘No matter where you are from, your dreams are worth it’, in their creation which showed a poor lady carrying a basket on her head and a baby on her back. She dreams of her child becoming a doctor and making it rich in life. Narmada’s rangoli titled, ‘Clean world green world, my dream world’, contained a big tree with rich green leaves with a very beautiful and colourful bird sitting on its branches. ‘Dreams are made of these…who are we to disagree – this was the caption of the rangoli made by Sutlej. The picture showed a lady with her hair divided into two parts – a light coloured background depicting the day and the other part was painted in dark shades for the night.
