Rangoli Competition 2014

The Inter House Rangoli Competition was held on the 28th of February 2014. The theme this year was ‘Nature in all her glory’. The judge for the event was Mrs. Leela Krishnan.
Narmada’s rangoli – ‘What is art? Nature concentrated’, depicted a beautiful peacock in its entire splendor. Cauvery’s ‘How great Thou art’ depicted a colourful peacock, a rainbow, a cherry blossom tree and a sun rise. ‘For man as for a flower, a beast and a bird, the supreme triumph is to be most vividly, most perfectly alive’, was the caption for Godavari’s rangoli and it contained a blue sea, a peacock, trees, flowers and birds. Sutlej depicted ‘Nature is God’s art’ and their rangoli showcased a big tree made of cinnamon sticks, almonds, raisins, fruits and a birds nest with eggs in it.

Sutlej took first place, while Narmada came in second and Godavari bagged the third spot.
