School Fete 2016
The rains played spoilsport in 2015 and the much awaited annual school fete had to be postponed twice before being cancelled altogether. That being the case, we did not take any chances this year and the fete was held on 6th of February 2016. It was a day of revelry in Sishya and students and parents from all over the city came to enjoy themselves at the various food and games stalls, each set up and managed by a particular class.
The notable stalls this year included a bull ride, bowling alley, hair styling stall, lazer tag and a school store and accessories stall. There was also a miniature gaming arcade and the ever popular food court. The toy train and merry-go-round were a great hit. Children of all ages had something to amuse themselves with, from bouncing castles, games of skill and body tattoos for the very young, to cricket and soccer for the older ones. The main attraction this year was the visit of Farhan Akthar, the popular Bollywood actor whose presence created quite a stir among all the people. He had the crowds swaying and dancing as he took the stage and sang a song from one of his movies.
The grand raffle draw was watched by many eager eyes, who were all hoping to be among the lucky few to win a prize.
This year, the event was as always, a resounding success and everyone had a wonderful time.
