Independence Day 2012
Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour in school on the morning of August 15th. Our trustee, Mrs. Lily Thomas was the Chief Guest and hoisted the National Flag. The Head Girl Krithika Prasad then gave an inspiring speech on true freedom. This was followed by a cultural programme – a very colourful variety of song and dance. It began with a beautiful rendition of the hymn, ‘I vow to thee my country’ by some students from Classes 4 & 5 followed by a skit in Tamil. The students of Class 10 performed a dance. There was also a small visual quiz conducted by Class 6 & 7 on some of India’s freedom fighters.
