Golf
Shivnaren Srininvasan of
Class 6 is a very promising golfer having
represented India in the Callaway Gold Junior
World Cup Championship in the U.S.A in the
9-10 age group. He has won many tournaments
and has won silver at the National Junior
and Sub Junior level.
Tarun Veeraraghavan
of Class XII also took part in the
Callaway Gold Junior World Cup Championship
in the U.S.A in the 15-17 years age group.
Tarun is currently ranked No. 1 at the South
India level. In the tournaments conducted
by the Indian Golf Union for the South India
level, Tarun was the winner at the events
held in Coorg, Hyderabad and Mysore. At the
National level circuit tournament, he is ranked
among the top 10.

Rowing
Fazila Husain of Class 8 has
excelled in many a Rowing Regatta held not only
in India but all over the world. She recently
represented the school at an International Rowing
Regatta held in Kolkatta and placed second.
She was awarded the Best Sculler trophy in the
Under 17 and Under 19 Girls event at the 5th
Joe Sculling Regatta held in Colombo in May
of this year. Her forte is the Single Sculls,
Double Sculls and Coxed Fours events. |

tennis
Sudershan Srikant of Class
9 is a very keen Table Tennis play who is currently
ranked No. 1 in the State for the Under 14 category.
He was the winner at the State level Tournament
held at the SDAT Stadium in Chennai. |

Roller
Skating
It is a pleasure to watch Nishunta G
Sundaram of Class 2 do roller skating.
At the Tamil Nadu State Open Roller Skating
Championship held at Madurai in February she
won the gold for the Artistic Free Style Category
in the 6-8 age group and also the bronze for
the 750 m. Road Race. |

Badminton
M. Roshini of Class 6 is a
very promising young badminton player. She was
the winner in the Under 13 Doubles event and
placed third in the Singles event at the State
level tournament held in Chennai. |

Squash
Brothers, Ramit Tandon of Class
9 and Rishi Tandon of Class
7 have done Sishya proud at many a squash tournament.
Ramit was runner up in the Under 19 group at
the Asian Junior Squash Championship held at
Hong Kong in February. He is currently the National
Champion in the Under 15 category.
On the other hand, Rishi Tandon of Class 7,
was declared State No. 1 in the Under 13 category
and is ranked No. 4 in the National Ranking. |

Tennis
Kavya Bharat of Class 6 is
a promising tennis player who has represented
the State at many tournaments. In the SRTC National
Ranking Tennis Tournament, she was the semi
finalist in the Under 14 Singles and Doubles
events. |
